Public Relations The goal of the education program is to provide information in an accessible manner to the general public. Partnerships are key to the success of the recycling program in Restigouche, as well. Several teachers and local groups have contacted the Corporation’s office for presentations and visits.

The education program continues to partner with the municipalities / lsd’s and with the 2 local school districts. This year, we put together a comprehensive advertising package that included newspaper and radio commercials about specific waste-related topics.

The Recycling pamphlet, a bilingual newsletter was distributed in most major newspapers and throughout the region. This is another continuing example of a successful partnership among the region. This pamphlet is a hit with the general public.

Information booths at events like the Promotion + in Campbellton, the Bon Ami Market Days in Dalhousie, and the Charlo Fall Fair help educate the public about waste and recycling issues.

The education program not only showcases our services, but also encourages waste reduction and recycling to decrease the amount of trash dumped in the landfill.
